Job summary

Power Design in Saint Petersburg, FL is seeking a Lighting Associate to help quote and submit lighting packages in collaboration with the Lighting Consultant. You'll work with vendors and the Estimating team to ensure accurate quotes and pricing.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, knowledge of the lighting supply chain, and strong communication skills. You will build BOMs, track lead times, and prepare competitive quotations to support project budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Knowledge of the lighting supply chain or construction distribution.
• Understanding of electrical contracting and lighting design.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Build, update, and maintain a bill of materials with pricing.
• Coordinate with Lighting Consultant and vendors for quotes.
• Gather documents for fixture submittals through approvals.
• Track lead times, product availability, and pricing.
• Create accurate quotations for Estimating and budgets.
• Maintain pricing database and update vendor price sheets.
• Learn about vendor products and industry trends.
• Identify information gaps from estimating/dept and client.
