Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Light-Wheel Vehicle Mechanic who will supervise and perform maintenance and recovery operations on wheeled vehicles in the field and in the shop. You will inspect, service, repair, test, and replace systems and components, including electrical wiring harnesses and charging systems.

Responsibilities include maintaining wheeled vehicles, trailers, and material handling equipment, and servicing electrical systems.

Qualifications

• Military enlistment in the Army National Guard is required.
• Must be at least a junior in high school or have a HS diploma or GED.
• Must be between 17 and 35 years old.
• Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain wheeled vehicles, associated trailers and material handling equipment systems.
• Service automotive electrical systems, including wiring harness, and starting/charging systems.
