DC Army National Guard seeks a Light-Wheel Vehicle Mechanic to supervise and perform maintenance and recovery on wheeled vehicles in the field and in the shop. You will inspect, service, repair, test, and replace systems and components to keep vehicles road-ready.

Training begins with 10 weeks of Basic Training and 13 weeks of Advanced Individual Training. You will earn a regular paycheck during training and qualify for tuition assistance, with benefits including health care, retirement plans,

Qualifications

• Must be enlisted in the Army National Guard.
• Age between 17 and 35.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must pass a physical exam and meet citizenship requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain wheeled vehicles, associated trailers, and material handling equipment.
• Service automotive electrical systems, including wiring harness and charging systems.
