Job summary

Ramos CS, now part of Colliers Engineering & Design, seeks a Construction Engineer for Track in Seattle to perform field engineering and inspection as Owner's Representative on a light rail extension program. The role focuses on trackwork installation, submittal reviews, quality control, OSHA compliance, and documentation of daily reports.

You will coordinate with civil, traction power and OCS teams and support closeout activities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field preferred.
Approximately 5+ years of field engineering or inspection experience on trackwork for light rail or rail systems.
Working knowledge of AREMA standards and transit agency track design criteria.

Responsibilities

Performs field inspections of trackwork and special trackwork installation to determine compliance with plans.
Inspects and documents track alignment, gauge, cross level, superelevation, rail fastening, and rail welding activities.
Witnesses turnout and crossover assembly and installation and confirms compliance with tolerances.
Reviews contractor operations for OSHA compliance and safety requirements.
Tracks and inspects rail, special trackwork, and other track material deliveries and documentation.
Completes Inspector Daily Reports (IDRs) and maintains project records.
Coordinates surveying, inspections, and verification testing.
