Job summary

Ramos CS, now part of Colliers Engineering & Design, seeks a Senior Resident Engineer for trackwork and systems to act as Owner's Representative on a light rail extension project in Seattle. This on-site role requires a PE (preferred) and extensive rail transit experience.

You will oversee construction activities, safety, inspections, and coordination with multiple stakeholders, delivering timely change orders and contract closeout while guiding a team of inspectors and engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
• Approximately 10+ years of construction management experience on rail or transit systems.
• Experience as a Resident Engineer, Assistant RE, or Construction Manager on rail systems work.
• Ability to work on-site in Seattle full-time during construction.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Authority's primary field representative to the contractor and direct field staff.
• Ensure staff are trained on and understand contract requirements.
• Coordinate responses to RFIs, submittals, and design changes with Authority and third parties.
• Review and approve inspector reports, NCRs, and test reports.
• Monitor safety programs and enforce compliance with safety policies.
• Lead weekly construction progress meetings and prepare RE reports.
• Oversee contract closeout, including as-builts, O&M manuals, warranties, and handover.
