Job summary

Ramos Consulting Services, now a part of Colliers Engineering & Design, seeks an Inspector for Trackwork to perform field inspection on a light rail extension project in Seattle. You will verify construction conforms to contract documents and report non-conformities.

The role requires 5+ years of inspection experience on rail projects, familiarity with AREMA standards, OSHA 30 certification preferred, and ability to work nights/weekends on-site.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of inspection or construction experience on trackwork for rail projects.
• Familiarity with track construction methods and AREMA standards.
• Must be able to work on-site in Seattle full-time, including nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Verify Contractor conformance to contract documents, submittals, RFIs, and codes.
• Inspect and document track alignment, gauge, superelevation, and rail welding.
• Inspect turnout and crossover assembly for compliance with tolerances.
• Document material deliveries, storage, and protection for conformance.
• Monitor safety compliance and report unsafe conditions per OSHA rules.
• Prepare Inspector Daily Reports with labor, equipment, materials, and site conditions.
• Support punch lists, track acceptance, and closeout inspections.
