Job summary

Purple Line Transit Operators seeks a Rail Dispatcher to oversee the safe, reliable movement of LRVs from the Operations Control Center. You will monitor rail activities, coordinate across departments, respond to incidents, and ensure compliance with procedures and safety standards.

Responsibilities include dispatching, interpreting SCADA and CCS systems, maintaining incident reports, and providing effective communications with Rail Operators, Supervisors, Maintenance, and field staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical training preferred.
• Minimum 2–3 years in rail, transit, or related operations.
• Ability to pass background checks and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Act as central liaison between PLTO Rail Operations and other departments.
• Monitor and control mainline, yards, and test tracks for safe operations.
• Execute OCC functions following SOPs and safety rules.
• Respond to system alarms and coordinate emergency responses.
• Deliver training and maintain records of train movements and exceptions.
