Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a Purple Line IOC Operator in Maryland to monitor, control, and support critical transit infrastructure during commissioning and transition to O&M.

You will monitor SCADA/RTUs, CCTV, and alarm systems while coordinating with construction and testing teams to ensure safe, reliable operation. The role requires 4+ years in infrastructure or transit operations, a high school diploma, and willingness to rotate shifts, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 4+ years of experience in infrastructure operations centers, transit operations, SCADA or control room operations, electrical power systems operations, or critical infrastructure monitoring.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Monitor real-time status of infrastructure systems including SCADA, RTUs, trackside power, signaling, and CCTV.
• Identify, acknowledge, and triage alarms, faults, and abnormal conditions.
• Perform electrical switching operations via SCADA to enable testing and commissioning.
• Coordinate with construction teams, commissioning agents, and testing crews.
• Support system integration testing, dynamic testing, and operational drills.
• Maintain safety and quality by following procedures and documenting actions.
