Job description

$500.00 SIGN ON BONUS, with $250.00 paid after 30 days and $250.00 after 90 days, based on attendance and performance (full-time only).

The World Equestrian Center, located in Wilmington, OH, is seeking a Light Equipment Operator to support grounds maintenance operations. Ideal candidates have previous experience in a similar role and must have experience driving forklifts and tractors. The position is outdoors, so candidates must be able to work and produce results regardless of weather conditions. The job involves strenuous physical activity, so applicants should meet these physical requirements. Pay rate depends on experience, ranging from $16.00 to $18.00 per hour.

The ideal candidate should have open availability, including weekends.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Maintain the grounds of the arena.
2. Clean stalls and grounds areas.
3. Collect trash and sweep.
4. Deliver bedding.
5. Perform lawn care.
6. Remove snow.
7. Assist with setup and teardown of special events.
8. Drag and water arenas.
9. Lift, bend, twist, and stand for long periods.
10. Operate equipment such as forklifts and tractors for grounds maintenance.
11. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Required Skills:

1. Ability to work in all weather conditions.
2. Excellent customer service skills.
3. Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

Required Experience:

1. Experience operating forklifts and tractors is highly preferred.
2. Licenses for operating forklifts and tractors are highly preferred.
3. Experience on a farm or similar setting is highly preferred.
