HPC-Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, in Baytown, TX, is looking for an IS Equipment Operator (CDL Required) to join their safety-conscious team! This team member is responsible for the safe and successful execution of jobs across all service lines and various other responsibilities. The Equipment Operator serves as a representative of HPC-Industrial in creating a continuous working relationship with clients and customers. Key Responsibilities:
- Act as safety representative responsible for safety policies and procedures of both the company and the customer, including operational safety, equipment handling, emergency response, and administrative functions;
- Operate manual and automated hydroblasting equipment as required;
- Operate specialized equipment such as Ultra High Pressure pumps;
- Manage equipment energization and operation of hydroblasting, chemical cleaning equipment, vacuum trucks, and cutting tools;
- Inspect surfaces post-cleaning to ensure compliance with specifications;
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment;
- Handle duties involving liquid vacuums, air machines, and jet rodders;
- Supervise a crew of vacuum technicians;
- Transport equipment and personnel to job sites;
- Complete pre- and post-trip inspections, maintain driver logs, and adhere to DOT regulations;
- Load and unload hoses and equipment;
- Unload vacuum trucks at disposal sites;
- Perform general field maintenance;
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to perform a 180-degree rotary motion of the cervical spine;
- Ability to operate hydroblast equipment with both hands;
- Ability to climb ladders and work from scaffolding at heights up to 200 feet;
- Work comfortably in confined spaces with a minimum diameter of five feet;
- Hold a 50 lbs. thrust on a 66-inch pipe for at least one hour;
- Capable of using respiratory protection equipment;
- Experience driving heavy equipment for extended periods;
- Willingness to wear protective clothing and equipment;
- Ability to work under extreme climate conditions;
- Exposure to dust, fumes, exhaust, and pressurized fluids with proper protective gear provided;
- Ability to work in high noise environments with hearing protection.
What does it take to work for HPC-Industrial?
- Relevant vocational training, safety courses, and on-the-job experience;
- Proficiency in English for safety communication and emergency response;
- Valid CDL Class A or B driver’s license and compliance with company driving policies;
- Knowledge of emergency equipment operation, such as fire extinguishers;
- Experience operating vacuum trucks; smartphone for electronic logging;
- Knowledge of wet and dry vacuum equipment operation.
