Job summary

BMW of Minnetonka is hiring a Light Duty Technician to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs at our Minnetonka, MN location. The role emphasizes accuracy and adherence to BMW and Lithia standards, with opportunities for certifications and professional development.

You will work full-time, Monday–Saturday, with a competitive flat rate pay structure and potential production bonuses, along with a comprehensive benefits package as part of total rewards.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of automotive repair experience.
• 1+ year of suspension, steering, or alignment experience.
• ASE and/or manufacturer certifications preferred.
• Experience with BMW or European luxury vehicles preferred.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Deliver vehicle maintenance and repairs efficiently and accurately.
• Perform repairs and maintenance per repair orders.
• Diagnose vehicle concerns and determine repairs.
• Document repairs, test results, and labor time.
• Conduct road tests to verify repair quality.
• Maintain personal inventory of standard tools.
• Pursue BMW and ASE certifications through ongoing training.
• Support team goals and deliver an outstanding customer experience.

Full-Time (Monday-Saturday) Flat Rate Pay: $17.00 - $30.00+ per Flagged Hour, Plus Production Bonus Location: Minnetonka, MN

What You'll Do

• As a Light Duty Technician, you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional service by performing vehicle maintenance and repairs efficiently and accurately while maintaining BMW and Lithia standards.
• Perform repairs and maintenance as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy.
• Diagnose vehicle concerns and determine appropriate repairs.
• Complete all work according to dealership, manufacturer, and safety standards.
• Conduct road tests to verify repair quality and vehicle performance.
• Accurately document repairs, test results, and labor time.
• Maintain a personal inventory of standard technician tools.
• Pursue and maintain BMW and ASE certifications through ongoing training.
• Participate in technical training and development opportunities provided by management.
• Support team goals and help deliver an outstanding customer experience.

What You'll Bring

• Experience working with BMW, European luxury vehicles, or other high-line brands preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Total Rewards

This is a flat rate position that is also eligible for short-term and/or long-term incentives as part of total compensation, which include Flat Rate: $17.00- $30/ + production bonus Actual pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and physical location. Final compensation will be established through the interview process in accordance with applicable pay equity and transparency laws.
