Prestige Lexus of Ramsey, located in Ramsey, NJ, is hiring experienced automotive technicians for a full-time, flat-rate role. Compensation ranges from $25.00 to $35.00 per hour, based on experience, with opportunities for incentives.

Ideal candidates will hold ASE and manufacturer certifications, be proficient with scan tools, and perform brake, suspension, and engine maintenance tasks. A valid driver’s license and a good driving record are required.

Qualifications

• Class B and/or C technicians with 2–5 years of dealership or private shop experience.
• Up-to-date ASE and manufacturer certifications.
• Experience using scan tools and service information systems.
• Ability to independently perform brake, suspension, and steering repairs.
• Proficient in engine maintenance and basic electrical diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy per standards.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and complete work per safety requirements.
• Road-test vehicles to verify repair quality.
• Document work performed, tests, and time per company procedures.
• Maintain an inventory of standard mechanic tools.

Who We’re Looking For

• Class B and/or C level technicians with 2-5 years of experience in a dealership or private shop
• Up-to-date ASE and manufacturer certifications
• Experience using scan tools and service information systems
• Ability to independently perform brake, suspension, and steering repairs
• Proficient in engine maintenance and basic electrical diagnostics
• Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residence

What You’ll Do

• Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Lithia and manufacturer standards
• Diagnose cause of malfunction and complete all work according to the applicable safety requirements
• Road-test vehicles to ensure quality of repair work
• Document work performed on repair order, record test procedures/results & time, per company recording & clocking procedures
• Responsible for providing and maintaining an inventory of normal mechanics tools

Total Rewards

The flat rate range for this position is $25.00 to $35.00.

This is a flat rate position that is also eligible for short-term and/or long-term incentives as part of total compensation, which includes bonuses based on production/productivity.

Actual pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job‑related knowledge, and physical location.

Final compensation will be established through the interview process in accordance with applicable pay equity and transparency laws.
