Job summary

Shaw Industries is seeking a Lift Truck Operator for 2nd shift (Mon–Fri, 4:00 p.m.–12:00 a.m.) to safely move and transport products within the warehouse, maintaining product quality and preventing damage.

The role involves operating a lift truck, loading/unloading pallets, following on-board computer instructions, and adhering to safety and PPE requirements. Overtime may be required; Shaw is an equal opportunity employer.

Responsibilities

• Hand load trailers when requested by management.
• Ensure proper packaging before placement in location.

Position Overview

Shaw Industries is seeking Lift Truck Operators for 2nd shift (Monday–Friday, 4:00 p.m.–12:00 a.m.) to safely move and transport products to and from inventory locations while maintaining product quality and preventing damage or safety hazards.

Job Title

Lift Truck Operator

Position Objective:

To move and transport products to and from inventory locations, while maintaining the quality of the product, without causing harm, danger, or damage.

Essential Functions:

• To retrieve product from inventory bins and transport them to proper location as instructed by onboard computer or Management Personnel.
• Place unwrapped product on the wrapping station as needed.
• Raise or lower dock leveler as needed.
• Use orange cone system for full or empty trailers
• Use Lift Truck to transport palletized freight as needed.
• Have the Lift Truck battery changed as needed.
• Must hand load trailers when requested by Management Personnel.
• Ensure proper product packaging is complete before placing in proper location.
• Must adhere to normal work schedule, starting and stopping times and company attendance/tardiness policy.
• Must be able to work necessary overtime

Non-Essential Duties:

• Assist in other jobs and duties as needed.
• Perform any duties you are OJT certified to do.
• Helping to keep the work area clean.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to sit on a Lift Truck for long periods of time.
• Must be able to mount/dismount lift truck 80 to 90 times per shift.
• Must be able to work in a warehouse environment.
• Must be able to physically handle up to 50 pounds multiple times per shift.
• Must be able to handle rough backing and latex-based products

Safety/Training Requirements:

• Must complete required SMS training.

8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts PM
