Job summary

Shaw Industries is hiring a Warehouse Associate/Lift Truck Operator for 2nd and 3rd shift in the Port Wentworth area. Starting pay is $19.16–$21.64 per hour, with progression to $22.53 after 6 months and $24.07 after 1 year as an LTO II.

Responsibilities include pulling and transporting flooring materials with a forklift, loading and unloading, and maintaining safe, organized workspaces. Training on first shift is required for two weeks.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 51lbs repetitively.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must attend training on 1st shift for the first two weeks.

Responsibilities

• Operate a lift truck to pull and move flooring materials.
• Transport pallets to and from locations with the forklift.
• Move materials from trailers to storage and to Shaw trucks for shipping.
• Maintain a safe and organized work area.
• Report unsafe storage areas and conditions to supervision.
• Read shipping documents and locate bin positions.
• Repair damaged packaging and keep workspaces clean.

Warehouse Associate/Lift Truck Operator - 2nd/3rd shift

Shaw Industries is looking for Forklift/ Reach Truck Operators & Warehouse Associates for 2nd and 3rd shift opportunities in the Port Wentworth and Rincon area.

Starting pay is $19.16 -21.64/hr. LTO II associates have the opportunity to progress at 6 months to $22.53/hr and 1 year to $24.07/hr.

Hours Available For This Position Are

• 2nd shift hours are Monday - Friday 3pm-11pm
• 3rd shift hours are Monday - Friday 11pm - 7am.

Responsibilities

• Receiving a pull task with information on the flooring material to be pulled and retrieving the correct material with a lift truck.
• Transporting a pallet by fork lift to and from location.
• Transport flooring material from trailers to storage location, and from storage location to the customer or Shaw trucks for shipping.
• Maintain a safe work environment
• Responsible for reporting unsafe storage areas (leaning pallets, damaged walls, etc.) and unsafe working conditions to Supervisors.
• Read, write and comprehend shipping documents, bin locations, and store orders.
• Tape and repair any damaged packaging. Maintain clean and tidy workspaces.
