Job summary

Wintergreen Resort in Virginia is seeking a Lift Maintenance Manager / Assistant Mountain Manager to lead the Lift Maintenance team and oversee safe operation, inspection, and maintenance of all lift systems, including 480V three-phase and low-voltage controls.

You will supervise staff, plan preventive maintenance, coordinate with Mountain Operations, and act as mountain leader when needed, ensuring safety, reliability, and guest service during peak seasons.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of lift maintenance, mechanical, electrical, industrial maintenance, or related experience.
• Direct experience maintaining ski lift systems, including fixed-grip, detachable, surface lift, or conveyor systems.
• Professional certifications in lift/tramway safety preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Lift Maintenance team and supervise staff with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.
• Perform preventative, routine, and emergency maintenance on lift systems and related infrastructure.
• Coordinate with Mountain Operations and other departments for planning, incident response, and operational reliability.
