Job summary

Mountain Capital Partners' Willamette Pass Ski Resort seeks a Lift Operations Assistant Manager to support the Lift Operations Manager in guiding the lift operations team. This seasonal role focuses on safe, efficient mountain lifts and guest service excellence while ensuring daily operations run smoothly.

You will supervise a team of supervisors, lift attendants and operators, coordinate checks, enforce OSHA/ANSI/USFS standards, and help with training, scheduling, and procedure documentation in

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and hold a valid driver's license.
• At least two years of lift operations experience required.
• A leadership or team-building role of at least one year preferred.
• Able to work at least 4 days per week, including holidays and weekends.
• Knowledge of lift controls for aerial and surface lifts.
• Familiar with lift safety processes and procedures.
• Ability to lead a large-scale team and provide excellent customer service.
• Completion of the WPR Qualified Climber program before first day.
• Able to work in adverse weather and on slippery/uneven surfaces.
• Willingness to operate snow removal tools and occasionally lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day mountain lift operations with the department manager.
• Supervise and coach a team of supervisors, lift attendants and operators.
• Ensure daily lift checks, logs, and incident reports are completed.
• Maintain maze setup, ramps, fencing, signage, and loading areas at stations.
• Support training plans for safe lift operations and company procedures.
• Assist in interviewing, hiring, and scheduling of lift staff.
• Maintain department schedules and SOPs, logs, and reports.
