IU Health Bedford Hospital is seeking a qualified Paramedic to provide front-line care, transport, and treatment of ill or injured patients in both emergency and non-emergency settings. The role requires relaying patient information, complying with policy, and operating within the Paramedic scope in Indiana.
A valid paramedic license (Indiana), ACLS, BLS, and PALS are required, with EVOC and NIMS courses to be completed within probation.
Full Time, (Four, 12 hour shifts one week / Three, 12 hour shifts following week (set schedule), Bedford, IN
Responsible for the care, transport, and treatment of ill/injured patients in both emergency and non-emergency situations. Responsible for relaying and receiving information regarding the patient and patient condition. Responsible for complying with all regulatory requirements, departmental policy and practice, safety policies and practice, hospital policies, and operating within the scope of a Paramedic as defined by the state of Indiana. Must possess the required knowledge and skills to appropriately care for and manage neonatal, infant, pediatric, adult, and elderly patients. May be required to drive ambulance to and from referral hospital. May be required to transport patients. May be required to obtain consents and authorizations form patient or legal guardians. May be required to record time of ambulance run. May be required to process billing and daily reports.
A valid driver's license and Motor Vehicle Record report may be required for this role. Consideration of employment for this role may be contingent upon the results of the Motor Vehicle Record report.
