Job summary

The Indiana University Health Lifeline ambulance service in Bedford, IN is seeking a full-time EMT to provide immediate emergency and non-emergency care and transport to the hospital. You will perform basic life support, CPR, AED, and splinting, and operate in a hospital-based advanced care ambulance setting as required.

A valid Indiana EMT certification (or national certification with Indiana eligibility within 30 days) and Basic Life Support (BLS) are required, with additional advanced life

Performs non-invasive procedures and basic life support functions such as, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), automated external defibrillation (AED), and bone splinting. Performs specialized life sustaining procedures in a hospital-based advanced care ambulance service. Responsible for providing immediate emergency care and transport of the critically ill or injured.

A valid driver’s license and Motor Vehicle Record report may be required for this role. Consideration of employment for this role may be contingent upon the results of the Motor Vehicle Record report.

Indiana Certification as an Emergency Medical Technician issued by the Indiana Department of Homeland Security required, or must be nationally certified and able to obtain the Indiana EMT Certification within 30 days of start of employment.

• Basic Life Support certification through the America Heart Association required.
• Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
• Requires Indiana State drivers license.
