Indiana University Health System is seeking a full-time emergency medical technician to respond to scenes and transports, delivering immediate basic life support. You will perform CPR, AED and basic stabilizations, working within an hospital-based ambulance service. A valid Indiana driver’s license and MVR checks are required.
The role may require additional ALS certifications based on unit policies and patient care needs, with credentialing within 30 days if not already in place.
Full Time, (3-12 hour scheduled shifts), Lafayette, IN
Responds in an emergency medical vehicle to the scene of reported emergencies, nonemergencies and interhospital transports. Provides efficient and immediate basic life support care to the patient at the scene and enroute to and in the hospital. Performs non-invasive procedures and basic life support functions such as, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), automated external defibrillation (AED), and bone splinting. Performs specialized life sustaining procedures in a hospital-based advanced care ambulance service. Responsible for providing immediate emergency care and transport of the critically ill or injured.
A valid driver’s license and Motor Vehicle Record report may be required for this role. Consideration of employment for this role may be contingent upon the results of the Motor Vehicle Record report.
