Job summary

Indiana University Health in Bloomington, IN seeks a Paramedic for full-time, three 12-hour shifts. You will provide care, transport, and treatment of ill and injured patients in emergency and non-emergency situations, relay information, and operate within Indiana state scope.

Requirements include high school diploma, Indiana Paramedic license, ACLS, BLS, PALS, EVOC, NIMS, and at least 1 year ALS Paramedic experience; clean driving record may be required; equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• BLS required upon hire.
• ACLS required upon hire.
• PALS or its equivalency to be obtained within the initial probationary period.
• EVOC or its equivalency must be obtained within the initial probationary period.
• NIMS 100, 200, 700, 800 to be obtained with initial probationary period.
• Minimum of 1 year ALS Paramedic experience preferred.
• Ability to make independent, clinical and operational competent decisions in a challenging environment.

Responsibilities

• Care for and treat ill and injured patients in both emergency and non-emergency situations.
• Relay and receive information regarding patient condition.
• May drive ambulance to and from referral hospital and transport patients; record times and assist with billing and daily reports.
