YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago in Chicago, IL is seeking a part-time Lifeguard at Lake View YMCA to keep swimmers safe and provide friendly service.

Responsibilities include monitoring activities, enforcing rules, responding to emergencies with CPR/First Aid, and maintaining equipment, with ongoing training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous lifeguarding experience preferred.
• Experience in a customer service role or similar environment.
• Strong swimming skills and ability to perform water rescues.
• Knowledge of CPR, First Aid, and AED usage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and act quickly in emergency situations.

• The Lifeguard at YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all individuals in and around the aquatic facility, while maintaining a welcoming and professional environment.
