Job summary

Greater Philadelphia YMCA is hiring lifeguards to ensure a safe, welcoming aquatic environment for members and guests at our Philadelphia facilities. As a key member of the pool team, you will monitor activities, enforce safety procedures, and maintain a clean, organized pool deck while providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification required or ability to pass the course.
• Passionate about safety around water with strong swim skills.
• Age 16+.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the safety and surveillance of all pool participants.
• Understanding and applying organizational safety procedures for the pool deck and aquatic areas.
• Maintaining organization and cleanliness of the pool deck, including skimming and brushing.
