Job summary

The Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking lifeguards aged 16+ to join our pool teams. As a lifeguard you will promote safety, monitor swimmers, and be part of a caring, mission-driven nonprofit that strengthens the community.

Qualifications

• Age 16+ and able to meet lifeguard requirements.
• American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification or ability to pass the course.
• Passionate about safety around water with strong swimming ability.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the safety and surveillance of all pool participants.
• Understanding and applying organizational safety procedures for the pool deck and aquatic areas.
• Maintaining organization and cleanliness of the pool deck, including skimming and brushing.
