Job summary

Qualifications

• No experience necessary; willing to fully train.
• Thorough knowledge of swimming and water safety skills is required.
• Must possess a current Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification or ability to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Monitor activities in and near the water through patron surveillance.
• Prevent injuries by minimizing or eliminating hazardous situations.
• Enforce facility rules and educate patrons about them.
• Recognize and respond quickly to all emergencies.
• Administer first aid and CPR when needed.
• Work as a team with lifeguards and facility staff.
