Job summary

YMCA of Southern Maine in Biddeford seeks a Lifeguard to supervise the pool environment, enforce safety rules, and respond to emergencies with CPR and first aid. You will help prevent drowning and injuries while maintaining rescue readiness and positive member interactions.

Qualifications

• 16 years of age or older.
• Current YMCA or American Red Cross Lifeguard.
• CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED and Basic First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Maintains rescue readiness at all times.
• Enforces safety rules and protects non-swimmers.
• Performs water rescue and responds to emergencies.
• Promotes YMCA branding and safety policies.
• Participates in water quality checks and safety drills.
