Job summary

Ymcaokc is seeking aquatics team members to lead instructional swim classes and ensure safety around the pool. Roles include lifeguard, swim instructor, or both, with training provided for applicants with no experience. Starting at $12.00 per hour.

Must be CPR/AED/O2/First Aid certified, 16 years or older, and able to work with youth. You’ll develop safety and swimming skills, help build a welcoming environment, and support program objectives.

Qualifications

• Must be certified in CPR, AED, O2, and First Aid.
• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Proficient swimming and safety skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to all instructional areas of the Aquatic Program while maintaining safety of all participants.
• Teach swim classes and manage class progression using lesson and session plans.
• Maintain safety protocols and respond to emergencies when needed.
• Communicate effectively with swimmers of all ages and abilities.
