Job summary

YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking a part-time Lifeguard to maintain safe swimming conditions in pools and on surrounding decks, promote member safety, and support youth development. You will monitor the pool, enforce rules, perform routine maintenance, and respond to emergencies in line with YMCA policies.

Candidates must be 16+, hold a current Lifeguard certification (YMCA or Red Cross) or obtain one within 30 days of hire, and commit to ongoing training and assessment.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 16 years.
• Current YMCA Lifeguard Certification or Red Cross Lifeguard.
• Must obtain YMCA Lifeguard Certification within 30 days of hire if not already certified.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe swimming conditions and enforce pool rules.
• Perform pool maintenance and cleaning activities.
• Test and record pool chemicals according to standards.
• Respond to emergencies per YMCA procedures and lead救援 as needed.
