Job Title: Lifeguard / Pool Attendant

Pay Range

Base pay ranges from $16.00 to $19.00 per hour. Actual pay depends on skills and experience. Discuss with your recruiter for more details.

Job Summary

We are seeking certified lifeguards to monitor pool safety, administer first aid, and perform lifesaving techniques. If you are not certified, Glendale will reimburse the cost of completing the American Red Cross Lifeguard/AED/CPR Certification course upon hiring, with the expectation that you will complete the course and work throughout the 2025 swimming season.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with pool rules and regulations to maintain a safe environment.
• Administer first aid, CPR, and use AED as needed.
• Perform pool cleaning and maintenance tasks.
• Provide customer service and handle conflicts or complaints.
• Operate equipment safely and report unsafe conditions.
• Maintain logs, record pool temperature and chemical levels, and ensure proper use of pool equipment.
• Maintain certifications, attend training sessions, and practice skills regularly.

Qualifications

• Valid Lifeguard / AED / CPR certification.
• Must be at least 16 years old with working papers.
• Lifeguarding experience preferred.

Skills & Abilities

• Knowledge of first aid, CPR, AED, and lifesaving techniques.
• Excellent observation skills.
• Flexible schedule including days, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to enforce pool rules.

Physical Requirements

• Skilled swimmer capable of pulling weight through water.
• Physically able to perform water rescues.
• Ability to work outdoors for extended periods.
