Limited Term Appointment: This is a limited-term position anticipated for up to 6 months and is contingent upon the availability of allocated funds, as well as favorable performance by the incumbent. When the need for additional staff ends, the position will be eliminated unless RPU chooses ongoing continuation.
RPU, a division of the City of Rochester, MN, is the largest municipal utility in Minnesota. It serves over 57,000 electric customers and 41,000 water customers within a 60-square-mile area, with revenues nearing $161 million annually.

This position works under the supervision of the Warehouse Operations Specialist and is responsible for selecting, disbursing, receiving, storing, and securing materials and supplies essential for the utility's operations.
2025 wage: $30.95/hour

The scope of work includes, but is not limited to:
Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of experience in warehousing, preferably in utilities.
Licenses and Certifications: Valid driver's license; Minnesota Class B CDL preferred.
This position may be subject to the City's drug testing policy, complying with state and federal laws.
Knowledge of inventory control, MS Office, and safety regulations; skill in data entry, operating equipment, and basic math; ability to multitask, organize, communicate effectively, and lift up to 50 pounds safely.
This is considered medium work involving lifting, standing, walking, and exposure to warehouse hazards. Accommodations may be provided as per ADA requirements.
