Job summary

The Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking dedicated lifeguards to ensure the safety of all pool participants. Applicants must be at least 16 years old and either hold an American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification or be able to pass the course.

We are looking for individuals age 16+ to serve as lifeguards. As a lifeguard, you develop important skills such as communication, leadership and responsibility that will serve you for a lifetime!

What is needed for this job as our Lifeguard:

• Age 16+
• American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification or ability to pass the course
• Passionate about safety around water and strong swim skills

The responsibilities we will trust you as our Lifeguard:

• Ensuring the safety and surveillance of all pool participants
• Understanding and applying organizational safety procedures for the pool deck and aquatic areas
• Maintaining organization and cleanliness of the pool deck, including skimming and brushing
