Job summary

HealthFitness is seeking Lifeguards to join the aquatics team at our corporate client site in Racine, Wisconsin. Shifts include mornings and afternoons across weekdays and weekends, with responsibilities to monitor safety and create a friendly environment for members and guests.

Minimum requirements include being at least 16 years old, American Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR/AED/First Aid, and computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Monitor safety and well-being of patrons.
• Enforce and explain rules as necessary.
• Respond to emergencies promptly.
• Conduct water chemistry tests four times daily and document results.
• Attend staff meetings and training.
• Assist with towels, cleaning, water machines, and facility inspections.
• Maintain professional attitude.
• Handle other duties as needed.

About the role

HealthFitness is looking for Lifeguards to join the aquatics team at our corporate client site located in Racine, Wisconsin (WI).

Potential shifts:

Monday-Friday 5:15a-9, 9-12:30p, 3:30-8p
Saturday 8a-1p or 1-4p
Sunday 10a-4pm

Responsible for monitoring and ensuring a safe and friendly environment for all of the aquatic facility members and guests.

Key Accountabilities

• Monitor and ensure safety and well-being of patrons using the aquatic facilities.
• Enforce and explain rules as necessary.
• Respond appropriately to any emergency.
• Perform chemical testing and documents results for three bodies of water and a hot tub four times a day.
• Attend all required staff meetings and training.
• Ensure that needs of the aquatic center are being met by folding towels; cleaning; filling water machines; and inspecting the Aquatics Facility to ensure safe environment for members.
• Maintain a professional attitude.
• Other duties as needed/assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• American Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid certification.
• Meet HealthFitness Fitness and Skill standards.
• Be dependable, alert and able to interact with people of all ages in a positive manner with strong customer service skills.
• Computer proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook; and working knowledge of the member management system, databases, and tools.

Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test. Compensation:$12 - $16.50/hour.Pay is dependent on experience and qualifications. The final wage offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors.
