Job summary

HealthFitness in Marysville, OH is hiring part-time lifeguards to monitor aquatic facilities and ensure safety for members and guests. Flexible schedule with shifts 5-29 hours per week, including weekdays and some weekends.

Compensation ranges from $14 to $16 per hour based on experience and qualifications. Responsibilities include enforcing rules, responding to emergencies, performing daily chemical tests, attending staff meetings, and maintaining a clean, safe aquatic environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.

Responsibilities

• Monitor safety and well-being of patrons in aquatic facilities.
• Enforce rules and explain safety guidelines as needed.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and contact emergency services when required.
• Perform chemical testing and document results for pools and spa on a daily basis.
• Attend required staff meetings and keep the facility clean and safe.

Work a flexible schedule with hours that align with your availability!Potential shifts fall within the following hours of operation:Monday - Friday: 5am-6pmSaturday: 10am-3pm.Perks to joining our team:Free membership to onsite fitness center and pool.Professional development opportunities.Potential for discounted Lifeguard training course through the Red Cross.Enjoy a supportive team environment.Responsible for monitoring and ensuring a safe and friendly environment for all the aquatic facility members and guests.Job Duties:Monitor and ensure safety and well-being of patrons using the aquatic facilities.Enforce and explain rules as necessary.Respond appropriately to any emergency.Perform chemical testing and documents results for three bodies of water and a hot tub four times a day.Attend all required staff meetings and training.Ensure that needs of the aquatic center are being met by folding towels; cleaning; filling water machines; and inspecting the Aquatics Facility to ensure safe environment for members.Maintain a professional attitude.Other duties as needed/assigned.Minimum Requirements:Must be at least 16 years old.Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid certification. *Site may be able to provide Lifeguard certification training at discounted rate.Meet HealthFitness Fitness and Skill standards.Be dependable, alert and able to interact with people of all ages in a positive manner with strong customer service skills.Computer proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook; and working knowledge of the member management system, databases, and tools.Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test.Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test. Compensation: $14/hr - $16/hr. Pay is dependent on experience and qualifications. The final wage offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors.
