Responsibilities

• Monitor the safety and well‑being of patrons using the aquatic facilities.
• Enforce rules and guidance as necessary.

• Perform chemical testing and document results for three bodies of water and a hot tub four times daily.
• Attend required staff meetings and training sessions.
• Assist with towel folding, cleaning, filling water machines, and inspecting the Aquatics Facility for safety.
• Maintain a professional attitude and approach in all interactions.
• Other duties as assigned.

As a key guardian of the pool deck, you’ll help create a welcoming, attentive, and secure environment for all members and guests—ensuring every visit is both safe and enjoyable.Responsible for monitoring and ensuring a safe and friendly environment for all of the aquatic facility members and guests.Key Accountabilities* Monitor and ensure safety and well-being of patrons using the aquatic facilities.* Enforce and explain rules as necessary.* Respond appropriately to any emergency.* Perform chemical testing and documents results for three bodies of water and a hot tub four times a day.* Attend all required staff meetings and training.* Ensure that needs of the aquatic center are being met by folding towels; cleaning; filling water machines; and inspecting the Aquatics Facility to ensure safe environment for members.* Maintain a professional attitude.* Other duties as needed/assigned.Minimum Requirements* Must be at least 16 years old.* American Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid certification.* Meet HealthFitness Fitness and Skill standards.* Be dependable, alert and able to interact with people of all ages in a positive manner with strong customer service skills.* Computer proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook; and working knowledge of the member management system, databases, and tools. All lifeguards are required to perform a basic lifeguard skill test consisting of:* 500 yard swim.* Active, Passive, Submerged rescues.* Spinal injury management in shallow and deep water.* Other various techniques that were learned during the Lifeguard Training Program.Compensation: $12/hr - $13/hr. Pay is dependent on experience and qualifications. The final wage offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors.
