Job summary

HealthFitness is seeking a part-time Lifeguard for an aquatic facility in Delhi Township, Ohio. The role involves ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for members and guests while monitoring pool areas and performing standard safety duties.

The ideal candidate is at least 16, holds American Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid, demonstrates reliable customer service, and is proficient with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• American Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid certification.
• Meet HealthFitness Fitness and Skill standards.
• Be dependable, alert and able to interact with people of all ages in a positive manner with strong customer service skills.
• Computer proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook; and working knowledge of the member management system, databases, and tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure safety and well-being of patrons using the aquatic facilities.
• Enforce and explain rules as necessary.
• Respond appropriately to any emergency.
• Perform chemical testing and documents results for three bodies of water and a hot tub four times a day.
• Attend all required staff meetings and training.
• Ensure that needs of the aquatic center are being met by folding towels; cleaning; filling water machines; and inspecting the Aquatics Facility to ensure safe environment for members.
• Maintain a professional attitude.
• Other duties as needed/assigned.

HealthFitness is excited to offer a new part‑time (working approximately 10 hours per week) Lifeguard opportunity at our client’s aquatic facility in Delhi Township, Ohio. As a key guardian of the pool deck, you’ll help create a welcoming, attentive, and secure environment for all members and guests—ensuring every visit is both safe and enjoyable.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• American Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid certification.
• Meet HealthFitness Fitness and Skill standards.

All lifeguards are required to perform a basic lifeguard skill test consisting of:

• Active, Passive, Submerged rescues.
• Spinal injury management in shallow and deep water.
• Other various techniques that were learned during the Lifeguard Training Program.

The compensation range for this role is $14/hr - $15/hr. The final wage offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors.
