We provide personal and professional support, training and development and flexible employment opportunities.**About the role****Flexible part-time shifts, working up to 25 hours per week** HealthFitness is hiring **Lifeguards** to join our team in **Beaumont, TX**.Responsible for monitoring and ensuring a safe and friendly environment for all of the aquatic facility members and guests.Key Accountabilities* Monitor and ensure safety and well-being of patrons using the aquatic facilities.* Enforce and explain rules as necessary.* Respond appropriately to any emergency.* Perform chemical testing and documents results for three bodies of water and a hot tub four times a day.* Attend all required staff meetings and training.* Ensure that needs of the aquatic center are being met by folding towels; cleaning; filling water machines; and inspecting the Aquatics Facility to ensure safe environment for members.* Maintain a professional attitude.* Other duties as needed/assigned.**What's required:*** Lifeguard & CPR/AED/First Aid certification from American Red Cross (or willingness to obtain certification) required.* Must be at least 16 years old.* Meet HealthFitness Fitness and Skill standards.* Be dependable, alert and able to interact with people of all ages in a positive manner with strong customer service skills.* Computer proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook; and working knowledge of the member management system, databases, and tools.* Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test. All lifeguards are required to perform a basic lifeguard skill test consisting of:* 500-yard swim.* Active, Passive, Submerged rescues.* Spinal injury management in shallow and deep water.* Other various techniques that were learned during the Lifeguard Training Program.Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test. Compensation: $7.25 - $9.00/hour.
