Job summary

The Louisville Area YMCA is seeking qualified lifeguards to cover part-time shifts in the Louisville area. You will oversee the safety of swimmers and the aquatic environment, attending mandatory trainings and staying rescue-ready throughout your shift.

Applicants must be at least 15, have YMCA or Red Cross lifeguarding, current BLS/CPR and First Aid, and be willing to be trained if not certified. Starting wage is $12.00 per hour; part-time staff receive complementary memberships and discounted

Qualifications

• Must hold YMCA or Red Cross Lifeguarding certification.
• Must have current BLS (CPR) and First Aid.
• If not certified, must be willing to be trained.

• Lifeguard is responsible for overseeing the safety of all swimmers and people in the aquatic area.
• Attends mandatory in-service trainings.
• Rescue ready at all times during shift.

Available Hours

• Various weekday morning and daytime shifts between 5:15am - 3:00pm

Starting Wage

$12.00 - commensurate with experience
