Job summary

Lake Community YMCA is seeking qualified lifeguards to ensure the safety of swimmers in the aquatic area. The role requires timely response, positive teamwork, and commitment to in-service trainings.

Starting wage is $12.00 per hour, commensurate with experience. Part-time staff receive complimentary memberships and discounted child care and program rates.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years old
• Current YMCA or Red Cross Lifeguarding certification
• Current BLS (CPR) and First Aid certifications
• Willing to be trained if not already certified

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety of all swimmers and aquatic area
• Attend mandatory in-service trainings
• Maintain a positive attitude and be a team player
• Stay rescue-ready during every shift

Job description

In search of:

Qualified Lifeguards - Lake Community YMCA

Qualifications:

• At least 15 years of age
• Current YMCA or Red Cross Lifeguarding
• Current BLS (CPR) and First Aid
• If not certified, willingness to be trained

Available Hours:

• Mornings: 5:30 - 9:00am
• Evenings: 5:00 - 8:45pm
• Weekends

Responsibilities:

• Lifeguard is responsible for overseeing the safety of all swimmers and people in the aquatic area
• Attends mandatory in-service trainings
• Positive attitude & team player
• Rescue ready at all times during shift

Starting Wage:

$12.00 - commensurate with experience
