Coralville Public Library is seeking friendly lifeguards to oversee the pool at the Recreation Center. Responsibilities include maintaining a safe and orderly swimming environment, assisting with daily pool activities, and ensuring a clean, welcoming space for all patrons.
Must hold American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification; courses available in spring. Apply with availability and certification. For questions, contact the Recreation Center staff at 319-248-1750.
Lifeguarding is a great job for anyone year round! It is a great opportunity to give back to your community; be responsible for maintaining a safe and orderly swimming environment, assisting in day-to-day activities of the pool, and provide a clean and enjoyable environment for all patrons using the facility.
Must have a minimum of American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification. If interested and not certified, sign up for our lifeguard courses this spring. Classes are offered throughout the year. Call the Recreation Center front desk at 319‑248‑1750 for registration or more information.
Must be able to swim and complete all the lifeguard skills. Have the desire and ability to interact with the public, complete assigned tasks, and work independently.
Shifts available are early morning, mornings, afternoons, nights, and weekends determined by the set hours of the Recreation Center and Aquatic Center.
