Job Description

We are looking for lifeguard candidates who are available to work varied hours between 5:15 AM to noon and 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Lifeguards will be supervising indoor pools and ensuring safety for all swimmers. The position is part‑time, with hours ranging from mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. This role requires a high‑energy applicant who can maintain a safe and enjoyable environment, assist swimmers, respond to emergencies, and provide excellent customer service.

Pay

$16.40 – $20.90 per hour

Training & Certification

• Free Lifeguard Training Course for all qualified candidates
• Reimbursement of course fees (excluding $40 certification fee) after completing 75 hours of work

Availability

Minimum 10‑15 hours per week during fall, winter, and spring; 15‑20 hours per week during summer. Flexibility to work a variety of shifts is required.

Ideal Candidate

• Will have previous aquatics/lifeguarding experience
• Possess a professional and welcoming demeanor
• Will be able to communicate effectively with the public and other team members
• Can work independently
• Has the ability to swim to safety with a full‑grown adult and remain calm in emergencies
• Can follow and enforce all pool standards and rules
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least fifteen (15) years of age at the time of application
• Current certification in American Red Cross Lifeguarding at time of hire
• Must successfully pass the District Water tests
