Job summary

Wellington Shire Council is seeking a casual Customer Service Officer (Lifeguard) to deliver safe, welcoming aquatic services across Aqua Energy and rural pools. You will supervise patrons, manage aquatic risk, test water quality and provide professional customer service.

The successful candidate will hold a current Pool Lifeguard Certificate, Level 2 First Aid and CPR, and a Working with Children Check, with the ability to respond confidently to emergencies and work with trainees and staff.

Qualifications

• Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate.
• Current Level 2 First Aid and CPR qualifications.
• Working with Children Check (WWCC).
• Knowledge of pool supervision, aquatic risk, pool equipment and water chemistry requirements.
• Ability to remain alert and respond confidently to emergencies and safety concerns.

Responsibilities

• Actively supervise patrons and enforce pool rules.
• Manage aquatic risk and provide a safe environment for swimmers.
• Test pool water quality in line with regulations and procedures.
• Operate, set up, pack up and store pool equipment correctly.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and safety concerns.
• Provide professional customer service to patrons, schools and colleagues.
• Support trainees and new staff as required.
