Job summary

YMCA of Frederick County is seeking a Lifeguard to ensure the safety of participants in and around the pool area. The part-time position includes benefits such as Free Membership (Individual) and MD Sick leave for eligible employees.

Qualifications include American Red Cross Deep Water Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid, plus a Frederick County Pool Operators license if applicable. Must be at least 15 years old and capable of working evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Monitor pool and surrounding areas during all aquatic activities.
• Respond to patron concerns promptly and appropriately.
• Perform lifeguard rescue procedures when required and report incidents.
• Maintain pool safety equipment and adhere to health regulations.
• Attend required staff meetings and trainings as directed by Aquatics Director.
