Job summary

SafeSplash + SwimLabs Waukee is seeking a Lifeguard to ensure a safe pool environment and provide emergency care as needed. You will supervise swimmers, follow Red Cross standards, and maintain a clean, organized facility.

The role emphasizes certification, readiness for emergencies, and the ability to participate in a team that values safety, training, and development with a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Red Cross Lifeguard certification and CPR/AED certification required.
• Previous swim instruction experience preferred.
• Must meet all lifeguarding prerequisites to American Red Cross standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain constant surveillance of the pool area and respond to emergencies.
• Provide emergency care and first aid until EMS arrives.
• Keep the facility clean and safe through routine duties.
• Ensure the pool area is properly supervised according to American Red Cross standards.

What will you do as a Lifeguard?

• Maintain constant surveillance of patrons in the pool area; act immediately and appropriately to secure safety of customers in the event of an emergency
• Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services
• Perform various duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility
• Make sure the pool area is always properly supervised and attended in accordance to American Red Cross standards

What are we looking for in a Lifeguard?

• Maintain Red Cross Lifeguard certification, Red Cross CPR/AED certification for adult, infant and swimmer
• Previous swim instruction experience is preferred
• Must be able to successfully complete all lifeguarding prerequisites to American Red Cross standards
