Job summary

SafeSplash Temple is seeking a dedicated lifeguard to ensure patron safety in the pool area. You will monitor swimmers, respond to emergencies, provide basic care until EMS arrives, and maintain a clean, safe facility following Red Cross standards.

The role supports flexible scheduling and training opportunities, with a strong emphasis on safety, supervision, and customer service in a busy water environment.

Qualifications

• Lifeguard certification and CPR/AED training are required.
• Experience in swim instruction is a plus.
• Ability to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain constant surveillance of patrons in the pool area and act immediately to secure safety in emergencies.
• Provide emergency care and treatment until EMS arrives.
• Keep the facility clean and safe as directed.
• Ensure the pool area is properly supervised according to Red Cross standards.

What will you do as a Lifeguard?

• Maintain constant surveillance of patrons in the pool area; act immediately and appropriately to secure safety of customers in the event of an emergency
• Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services
• Perform various duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility
• Make sure the pool area is always properly supervised and attended in accordance to American Red Cross standards

What are we looking for in a Lifeguard?

• Maintain Red Cross Lifeguard certification, Red Cross CPR/AED certification for adult, infant and swimmer
• Previous swim instruction experience is required
• Must be able to successfully complete all lifeguarding prerequisites to American Red Cross standards
