The Chickahominy Family YMCA in Virginia is seeking part-time lifeguards to help keep swimmers safe at our pool. We welcome certified lifeguards or strong swimmers willing to become lifeguards, with certification provided if qualified.
Pay ranges from $15 to $16 per hour. Candidates must be at least 15 years old and hold CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid; additional lifeguard certifications from ARC, YMCA, or Ellis are preferred. Training available for the right applicant.
The Chickahominy Family YMCA is seeking part time enthusiastic community members to help save lives and ensure the safety of patrons at our pool! We are looking for certified lifeguards or swimmers who are interested in becoming lifeguards (we will certify you if you qualify)! The pay range for this position is $15-$16 per hour.
Qualified lifeguards will be responsible for the safety of our members and program participants. Lifeguards must be able to communicate verbally, including projecting voice across a distance, hear and respond to noises and distress signals, and observe all areas of the pool area. Lifeguards must be knowledgeable in emergency procedures set forth by the YMCA of Greater Richmond.
Lifeguards must be at least 15 years old and have current CPR and AED for Professional Rescuers certification, First Aid certification and either American Red Cross, YMCA or Ellis Lifeguard certification. Oxygen Administration (O2) certification is preferred but not required upon hire (must obtain within 30 days of hire). The Y will train interested candidates who meet basic swim requirements if not already certified!
