Job summary

Eastern Kentucky University seeks Lifeguards for the Richmond Campus. Lifeguards monitor swimming areas, enforce rules, and perform rescues or first aid as needed. They also complete daily reports and maintain the facility's cleanliness.

Position is part-time with no benefits (less than 20 hrs/week); requires EKU enrollment and current lifeguard certification. Weekday and weekend shifts are available; sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled at EKU and hold a shallow or deep water lifeguard certificate.
• Current Red Cross Lifeguarding, First Aid, and CPR certifications preferred; current certification required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor swimming areas and enforce facility rules.
• Perform water rescues or administer first aid as needed.
• Complete daily reports and maintain cleanliness of the aquatic facility.

Job Summary/Basic Functions

Campus Recreation is accepting applications for lifeguards at this time. Lifeguards are responsible for monitoring swimming areas, preventing accidents, enforcing facility rules, and performing water rescues or administering first aid when emergencies occur. Lifeguards are also responsible for daily reports and cleaning of the facility.

Minimum Qualifications

Licensure & Certifications:Must be enrolled at EKU. Currently hold a shallow or deep water lifeguard certificate

Preferred Qualifications:

1 year of lifeguarding experience preferred. Current Red Cross certification in Lifeguarding, First-Aid, and CPR is Required.

Job Duties:
