Job summary

Westgate Resorts in Orlando is seeking a Lifeguard to ensure guest safety around the pool and water park areas. The candidate will render emergency care, maintain cleanliness, and document incidents during shifts.

Candidates should be expert swimmers in strong physical condition, able to lift up to 50 pounds, and pass background checks. Certifications such as American Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid, and AED are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guest safety with constant surveillance of pool/water park areas.

• Maintain detailed incident activity reports during shifts.
• Attend in-service safety trainings and stay updated on protocols.
• Be a collaborative team player supporting colleagues.

Job Description

As a Lifeguard, you will:

• Ensure the safety of all guests by maintaining constant surveillance, continuously scanning the pool or water park area, and monitoring guests for signs of distress or unsafe behavior.
• Render emergency care and, if necessary, contact emergency medical services to ensure prompt and appropriate assistance for guests in need.
• Maintainthe cleanliness of the pool and water park areas to create a pleasant and sanitary environment for the guests.
• Maintain detailed activity reports to document incidents, observations, and any actions taken during the shift.
• Attend scheduled in-service training to stay updated on the latest safety protocols and guidelines.
• Be a team player and assist your colleagues with their duties as required.

Qualifications

• Lifeguard must be an expert swimmer, be in excellent physical condition, and able to react quickly in emergency situations.
• Preferred certifications inAmerican Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid, and AED.
• Strong ability to recognize unsafe and hazardous situations and react properly.
• Will be required to enter the water, participate in regular in-water trainings and swim on a daily basis.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion and lift and/or move up to/over 100 pounds with assistance.
• Must be able to work in wet, humid, and outdoor weather conditions and extreme heat and sun exposure.

• Required to pass a background check, drug test, and prove eligibility to work in the United States.
