Job summary

Storey Lake Club in Kissimmee, FL is seeking a full-time Lifeguard dedicated to safety and superior guest service. You will supervise swimmers, administer first aid, and maintain cleanliness around the pool area while delivering a hospitality-focused experience.

Key duties include enforcing rules, assisting with clinics and lessons, pool maintenance, keeping records, and promoting safe work practices to ensure a safe, enjoyable environment for members and visitors.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of lifeguarding experience.
• CPR, First Aid Certification, and Water Safety/Instructor Certifications required.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Knowledge of accepted sanitation standards and applicable health codes.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and observes swimmers at all times to ensure safety.
• Administers first aid for minor injuries such as small cuts and bruises.
• Maintains the cleanliness of changing rooms, bathrooms, and showers.
• Assists in organizing clinics and private swimming lessons for members as directed by the department manager.
• Enforces the rules of conduct.
• Performs pool maintenance, including checking chemicals and vacuuming the pool.
• Checks the first aid supplies and reports needed items to management in a timely fashion.
• Organizes and monitors pool games at all times; suggests poolside games.
• Skims bugs and other debris from surface to prepare pool for daily use, empties automatic skimmer.
• Cleans up and organizes the pool area at the end of the day.
• Maintains all necessary records determined by the department manager.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
