Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a dedicated Pool Lifeguard to join our team in a part-time capacity. You will monitor pool activities, respond to emergencies, and help ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for guests of all ages.

The ideal candidate has strong swimming skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to safety. Must be at least 16 with a valid lifeguard certification; weekends and holidays require flexibility.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old and have a valid lifeguard certification from a recognized organization.
• Strong swimming skills and ability to perform rescues and administer first aid.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patrons and staff.
• Ability to stay calm and focused during emergencies.
• Flexible availability including weekends and holidays.
• Previous lifeguard experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor pool activities to ensure safety and enforce rules.

• Conduct regular safety checks of the pool area and equipment.
• Maintain a clean pool environment and supervise changing rooms and surrounding areas.

• Prepare and submit incident reports when necessary.
• Assist with pool events and activities as directed by management.
