Job Summary:

The Lifeguards are responsible for supporting and enforcing rules and regulations, ensuring the safety of the pool facility within the scope of their lifeguard certification. The primary responsibility is guest safety.

Day-to-Day:

• Scan the pool area to detect safety concerns and practice preventative lifeguarding.
• Conduct oneself professionally, understand, and relate well to guests while using the pools.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents/guardians, and the public. Respond quickly and efficiently to questions, comments, and concerns.
• Patrol pool areas to maintain cleanliness of the facility and equipment. Perform daily maintenance duties such as setting up for daily operations and major cleanup at the end of the day.
• Work at swim meets as required.
• Test the pool environment to ensure proper chemical and environmental measures.

About You:

• You must be at least 16 years old.
• Possess a current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification, including CPR/AED and First Aid.
• Have knowledge of accident prevention and response procedures.
• Be able to swim long distances, a minimum of 300 yards, with strength and endurance.
• Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
