Job Summary
Under the direction of management, the employee performs duties related to the activities and operation of the City-owned aquatic centers. Responsible for ensuring the safety of all guests by preventing accidents and responding promptly in emergency situations. This is a part-time/seasonal position, working approximately 30 - 40 hours per week. Evenings, weekends, and some holidays are required.

This job entails moderate physical labor, which requires strength and agility. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Majority of work is performed outdoors and is subject to extreme heat and sun. Work performed is subject to chemical hazards.
Work may be subject to time pressures, emergency situations, frequent changes to tasks, working closely with others as part of a team, working alone 50% or more of the time, performing multiple tasks simultaneously, and dealing with difficult persons.
